Terms

Last updated August 8, 2026

These terms cover two separate things: using this website, and taking part in an LBTA program. Laguna Beach Tennis Academy is operated by Tennis Beast LLC in Laguna Beach, California.

This website

The site is here to describe what we run and to let you ask for a session. It is marketing and inquiry capture — it is not where you enroll and it never takes a payment. Content is ours or licensed to us; please do not copy it wholesale for another tennis business. We keep the site accurate to the best of our ability, but a page can fall behind a schedule change, and where this site and the City catalog disagree about a price, a date or a time, the City catalog governs.

Reserving is not enrolling

When you request a place here, you are telling us you want it and we email you how to finish. You are enrolled when you have registered and paid through the City of Laguna Beach Recreation — not before. Nothing is reserved in the meantime: another group opens as more players enroll, so a place is not something that runs out while you decide.

Money, refunds and credits

Because registration runs through the City, the City's terms govern the money: refunds are not issued unless an activity is cancelled by the City or by the instructor, transfers may be permitted, and a processing fee may be assessed. The City holds the funds, so we cannot promise you a refund of them.

What we can do on our own side, and will:

  • Move you to another day, another block, or another group.
  • Put a credit on your family record to use against a future program.

One credit is one session at a class of the length you bought. Credits expire at the end of the season, move between members of the same family but never between families, and have no cash value. If LBTA cancels a session, the credit returns automatically — you do not have to ask, and you should not have to remember.

Missed sessions

Every player has two make-up sessions a season, for any reason at all — travel, illness, a school play. Reply to your coach and we place your child in another group that week. A session a family simply misses, outside those two, does not return a credit.

Weather and safety

When weather forces a change we make the call as early as we can and text you as soon as it is made, with the make-up in the same message. A cancelled session stays cancelled even if the sky clears, because you have already changed your afternoon.

On court, any coach may stop a session on their own authority for lightning, heat or air quality, and never needs permission to do it. A session LBTA cancels returns its credit automatically — you do not have to ask.

Private lessons

Private lessons are booked by arrangement, up to three players. Lessons involving anyone under eighteen take place in open view — never behind a closed gate or in a vehicle — a parent is welcome to stay every time, and all messaging about a player copies a parent.

Placement and groups

The ages listed with a class say roughly who is on court at that hour. They do not decide who your child works with. Groups are formed on the day by a coach who has watched the players hit, are not published in advance, and are re-formed through the season. Moving group is neither a promotion nor a demotion.

Conduct

We ask for the ordinary things: arrive on time, treat coaches, players and courts well, and tell us about a medical condition we should know about. Our sites are public parks and a school, and their rules apply on top of ours. We may ask someone to leave a program for behaviour that puts another player at risk.

What this page is not

Nothing on this page is a liability release, a participation waiver, or an assumption-of-risk agreement, and nothing here asks you to give up a legal right. Using this website does not sign you up to any such document. Where a release is required it is a separate document, prepared with an attorney, that you would be given and would sign directly.

Questions

Email support@lagunabeachtennisacademy.com or call (949) 534-0457. Any message gets an answer within one working day, same day if it is about a child on a court. These terms are governed by the law of the State of California.
